I found this quote on Goodreads:
“No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader.”
― Robert Frost
And I was sort of shocked when I read it, because yesterday when I was writing, I was actually getting super emotional writing a very difficult moment for one of my characters. I think that if you don’t try to feel what your characters are feeling, you won’t portray that feeling to the reader.
